Dress Code

Belgrade summers are exceptionally hot. We suggest lightweight (yet formal) summer attire, as some parts of the wedding program will take place indoors (air-conditioned) and outdoors.

TRANSPORTATION

The location is 20 Minutes from the airport or 30 – 40 Minutes from the City Center Belgrade.

Please use the local taxi service. Just download the “Pink Taxi Beograd” Application on your smartphone and create an account if needed. It is fast & safe. Don’t worry if you can’t download the application, you will receive the number on the spot.

There is free parking at the restaurant.

GIFTS

Your presence and joy at our wedding are the greatest gift of all. However, should you wish to honor us with a gift, please bring it in an envelope, as we cannot take any physical gifts with us to Switzerland.

Accommodations

We want to highlight an important detail regarding the Hotel reservation: the price of the room may appear different from what you will see during booking. This is because you’ve been offered a larger room at a lower rate, inclusive of breakfast, access to the spa, and other benefits not typically included in standard booking offers. Additionally, we’ve ensured a more favorable cancellation policy for your convenience.
Please be aware that the rooms are reserved under our names. This applies to all 4 Stars Hotel.

General

In Serbia, it’s common to find many places, including restaurants, where smoking is permitted. Typically, the ventilation systems are well-adjusted. However, we’ve chosen to allow smoking only in the outdoor areas at our wedding.

While card payments are widely accepted in Belgrade, it’s always advisable to carry some cash with you.

As Serbia is not part of the EU, roaming charges can vary depending on your mobile plan. We recommend checking with your provider before your departure. Typically, you can find Wi-Fi available in hotels, restaurants, airports, and malls.

At weddings, the traditional Kolo dance is often performed. After a few good drinks, you’ll easily master it.

BRIDE & GROOM

The Knez Mihailova Street & Kalemegdan

is the most famous boulevard in the Serbian capital, Belgrade. As a traffic-calmed pedestrian zone, it serves as a significant shopping center characterized by representative buildings constructed between 1870 and 1925.

Kalemegdan is the most beautiful and largest park in Belgrade, simultaneously serving as the most significant cultural and historical complex with the dominant fortress overlooking the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers.

Silosi

Belgrade’s Riverside is the liveliest nightlife hub, attracting both tourists and locals. You can choose between the nightclub-packed New Belgrade side or the restaurant-filled old town side. Silosi, situated next to a walking path, offers a unique blend of chilling and dancing. Former grain towers turned cultural spot, Silosi hosts festivals with food stalls and handmade items. Decorated with murals, these structures provide a picturesque backdrop, especially during sunset. For a vibrant evening, grab a drink at Silosi, dance, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Expect crowds; the best way to reach Silosi from the city center is by a cost-effective taxi ride.

Skadarlija

Skadarlija is a short street with a long history. More than 100 years it has been a cultural and bohemian center of Belgrade. It’composed of many traditional restaurants, galleries, stands with hand-made souvenirs, street performers…Great number of excellent restaurants are offering delicious food to their visitors, composed with fantastic little bands that are playing music of yesterday times. A must-see place to visit when you’re in Belgrade!

Novi Sad

the second-largest city in Serbia, exudes the charm of a small village. It boasts a beautiful old town and the magnificent Petrovaradin Fortress, which serves as the venue for the “Exit” festival. The city has been awarded the title of European Youth Capital in 2019 and also became the European capital of culture in 2021. Use public transportation and go by train.

Nationalpark Fruška Gora

Only half an hour by car from the city of Novi Sad and an hour and a half from Belgrade, you’ll find one of Serbia’s most beautiful and largest national parks – Fruška Gora. A popular destination for locals, it stretches along the Danube like a green island, ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle and heat of urban life.

It is also well known for its delicious wine and exquisite honey.

Ostrvo Koh Chang

Also known as the Serbian Thailand near Novi Sad, this sandbank resembles the dream beaches of Thailand. Locals take care of the island, keeping it free of litter. The place is still considered a hidden gem. The journey there is like a little adventure. For more information, feel free to contact us.

Ada Ciganlija

is the perfect spot to enjoy swimming, running, biking, entertainment, bungee jumping, sport activities from tennis over paintball to water skiing. But you can also only enjoy the good food at the seaside and take a walk around the lake. It was one of our highlights last year.
